A dear friend gifted us with a tour of Nashville before we left! Elijah said Nashville is like stepping into a giant jukebox! Music, partying, cowboy boots, and the history of country legends making dreams come true.

And then THIS HAPPENED this evening. Heading into Nashville, 1000 miles from home, the front corner of our camper (which is filled with clothes, books, cookware, dogs and our kids) tore off and blew away! Not sure what we are going to do yet. Going to a repair shop in the AM and praying for a miracle. Grateful that nobody got hurt. Oy Vey!

I am in love with Tennessee and Hipcamp.com! Last night, for only $35, we stayed at Dusty Hill Farms with Paula as our gracious host! Horses, huge fields for our dogs to run and play (a welcome break from having to be on a leash all the time), stunning views from the top of The South Holsten River Dam only 10 minutes away, private bathroom and shower, fresh coffee in the AM, and a midnight walk in the light of a full moon with the sweetest smell of fresh air and grassy fields. It was peaceful, quiet, and a little piece of heaven on earth!

Such a beautiful day! Got our national park passes today from the sweetest park ranger, then spent the evening with one of my dearest friends from college and his beautiful wife. They have a wonderful big table on their deck and guests get to carve their names into the table. Thank you Steve and Vallerie Martin for a delicious meal and a magical evening.
